Elf on the Shelf - more on the way

Due to a wonderful response from y'all...we are completely out of the Elf on the Shelf!

Well, since it's only Thanksgiving week - and since there are still plenty of kids out there without elves...and plenty of parents out there who need that extra help bribing the kids...and because we've had several requests - we've got another shipment coming in. They should be here this week.

Also keep in mind that we have the Elf on the Shelf Christmas Activity Book - a little something to keep the kids occupied while they're out of school for Christmas break and being so good!

Also in stock is the Elf on the Shelf skirt for the girl elves out there.

Thanksgiving is a great time to begin this tradition with your family so come on in and get your very own Elf on the Shelf!

Santa's Helper - Elf on the Shelf

Most of you know this guy...

Last year we had so many customers ask us if we carried the Elf on the Shelf. This year we gave in to your requests and we now have the elves in stock!

For those of you who aren't familiar with this trend though, The Elf on the Shelf is a great tradition to start with your kids. The 8-inch elf doll (above) comes with a 28-page hardcover illustrated book that explains the story that is based on a tradition the book's author, Carol Aebersold, began with her family in the 1970s.

Once the elf gets home, the children can name their elf and then the elf gets to work. Elf on the Shelf shows up each morning (many times in a different place!) and spends the day watching and listening…gathering information to carry back to Santa at the North Pole each night. Children love the daily hide-and-seek game of finding where in the house the elf decides to spend the day. Children want to be on their very best behavior when the elf is in the house because it’s their job to help Santa determine who has been naughty and who has been nice!

There are rules of course. The children are not, under any circumstance, allowed to touch or move the elf. And even though the elf can’t talk to the children, they are allowed to talk to the elf…to tell the elf their secrets, Christmas wishes and maybe even some confessions!

I think this is such a fun tradition to start with young children…older children too...or husbands? Hmmm…maybe Seth would be extra nice (do the laundry, the dusting, the dishes, etc.) if I brought an elf on the shelf home with me! LOL!

Santa only sent us a limited supply of elves so be sure to come in and get yours while they last! They're already selling great.

I just love these new stuffed animals that are certified asthma and allergy friendly! That means something to me, Miss Allergy & Asthma! Do you know how excited my parents would have been to have found toys like these when I was little?

Christmas Gift Idea #6 - Helper Toys

With just 2 weeks until Christmas I've noticed that there are still a lot of people hunting for "the perfect Christmas gift" for that special someone on their list. So I've decided that from now until the 24th that I'm going to post at least one gift idea every day. Hopefully these ideas will inspire those of you who are having "shoppers block" and will jumpstart your holiday shopping!

Gift Idea #6 is Helper Toys

Most every kid at some point wants to be just like Mommy and/or Daddy. They want to "help" and even though their "help" is not always the most welcome - it's good for them to get that practice and to feel useful.

Helper toys are a very big gift item this holiday season because they encourage family values, they make kids really want to help out and they give the kids confidence in their "helping" ability!
