Bows for the season

Fall is here along with all of the cute fashions that go along with it!
Check out the great hairbows that mom recently got in at the store. I love the pumpkin ones...

and the ghosts...

...and look at the turkey bow! This one just makes me giggle.
Ok...I actually love all the new bows for fall.

We also have several bows that aren't as "themed" for the fall season...
These look great monogrammed and soon we will have them in stock with initials already monogrammed on them. Stay tuned to the blog for when those arrive.

classic black and white polka dots...
Pink. Pink. Pink. The patterns are great!
This would be great as a little clip for the girls without a lot of hair but also would work in the center of a bigger bow or added into a headband.
This is another great little clippy bow.

Christmas Gift Idea #6 - Helper Toys

With just 2 weeks until Christmas I've noticed that there are still a lot of people hunting for "the perfect Christmas gift" for that special someone on their list. So I've decided that from now until the 24th that I'm going to post at least one gift idea every day. Hopefully these ideas will inspire those of you who are having "shoppers block" and will jumpstart your holiday shopping!
..................................
This is a BONUS gift idea post for you since I was a slacker on Wednesday (finals will do that to a person!)...enjoy because this is one of my very favorites!

Gift Idea #6 is Helper Toys

Most every kid at some point wants to be just like Mommy and/or Daddy. They want to "help" and even though their "help" is not always the most welcome - it's good for them to get that practice and to feel useful.
Helper toys are a very big gift item this holiday season because they encourage family values, they make kids really want to help out and they give the kids confidence in their "helping" ability!
*****************
The (above) set of a miniature broom, mop and cleaning supplies is a FAVORITE among our kids and their parents!
The set of miniature (but real and kitchen-ready) kitchen utensils and tools (below) are just like mommy's and will keep kids entertained for hours!

We have a lot more where those came from too! Kids kitchen appliances, pretend food, ironing boards and the wooden kitchens too!

Come in this weekend to Open House while supplies last! C'mon, you'll need someone to sweep up after all of the Christmas festivities are over with...why not let the kids? I'll see you this weekend!

Don't forget!
We offer layaways and free gift-wrapping! We'll be open through Christmas Eve for your convenience and if there's anything else we can do to make your Christmas season easier, just give us a call!

.......................

Curbside service, gift registries, deliveries, pre-picked out gifts, gift certificates...just don't ask us to come down your chimney (we will eat the cookies, though, if you insist!).

Change is STRANGE

I love finding unique gift items for kids that nobody else has! I also love companies that understand that and try to create just that sort of stuff!

So, I found this line of books at Market and just fell in love!

The line is called Change is Strange and all the books focus on dealing with big changes happening in the lives of little ones.

With titles like "No More Pacifier", "Mommy and Daddy are Going on a Trip", "My First Day of School", "We're Having a Baby" and "We're Moving"...they cover almost every 'rite of passage' that a little one has to go through!

The books have bright colors and really vivid illustrations...I just know the kids will love them!

The company also makes 'survival kits' with the same titles. They contain the book along with some other "coping supplies".

I think these will make great gifts for the kids.
I really wish that I had known about these books when my Chalee had to give up her pacifier (she called it her tootoo)...I'm pretty sure the emotional scarring was deep. You read about it in this post...they told her that the dog had eaten it but I'm pretty sure she was convinced that Jordin Tootoo from the Predators had a little something to do with it! I could have read her the book and calmed her nerves maybe!

Myself Belts

One of the great product lines that we picked up at Market this time is the Myself Belts. These belts are kid friendly in that they hook with Velcro to make it easier for kids to dress themselves (and they really come in handy, apparently, around potty-training time!). They've been featured in First Magazine, Parent Magazine and USA Weekend, just to name a few and have won aaaall sorts of awards! We have cute designs for boys and girls, and depending on how well y'all like them...we can get a lot more cute designs. We are the only shop anywhere around to carry this great kids accessory and we're so excited to have them!

Bedazzled

We got in these cute new shirts that will make a great inexpensive gift for that special little girl in your life. This company uses nailheads for their embellishments...just another alternative to rinestones.
We especially love the 'big sister' shirt - a nice shirt for those older big sisters that feel too old for the Adorable Original ones. The horse ones are always nice too because all little girls love horses right now!
