Hey Manchester...and Paula's Dance Academy!

The Warren County Fair Baby Show and Little Fairest of the Fair might be over (more about that in another post very soon!)...but Manchester's fair is next week!

Books Galore

We love educational toys that inspire kids to be creative and to make their own entertainment.

Pageant and Flower Girl Dresses

For you last minute fair pageant shoppers...we just got in a shipment of really pretty pageant dresses for the littler girls and little suits and tuxes for the little boys!

I'll post pictures of the boys stuff later today...but for now here are some of the dresses! Soooo pretty! They would also make great flower girl dresses...we actually ordered a couple that I might possibly use for my flowergirls!

Lovies

Lovies, blankies, security blankets....whatever you call them...the kids love them!

This is our newest version of the blanket and they're already becoming a really popular baby and toddler gift! They are so so soft...you just have to come in and feel them to get it!

Squeaky shoes!

You've all asked for them...so here they are:

The original "Squeak Me" shoes for kids!

We're so excited to have them and they've already been going like hotcakes...squeaky hotcakes!

I will admit, I was a bit skeptical at first..."Shoes that squeak? For kids? Who wants their kids to be running around squeaking? Kids run around a lot!"

I was not exactly excited about carrying them and I even discouraged mom from ordering them for a little while...until she snuck behind my back and ordered them....so there we were with squeaky shoes!

THEN one of our mommies came into the shop and saw the shoes...she then proceeded to go on and on about how great the shoes were, how they helped her toddler learn to walk, how she was able to keep up with her toddler all over the house (you know how toddlers will just run off with you trailing behind?), how pretty and stylish the shoes were, and finally how you can take the squeaker out!

I did not know about the 'taking the squeaker out' part...so I was a little more interested and did a little research.

You know how babies and toddlers have a tendency to walk on their tiptoes? Well, apparently, they like the squeaking and since the squeaker is in the heel of the shoes... they go down on their heels more often while walking. This helps them to gain balance and to walk properly on their whole foot...that's better for development.

They are super cute too. We have them for girls and boys and they come in all sorts of colors and designs. Cute enough to wear on a play date...but also dressy enough to be worn to church (minus the squeaker, of course!).

Piggy Banks

We got in a new shipment of piggy banks! These are one of our most popular items for showers, for birthdays...really, for any gift giving occasion for kids! They come with a number of designs...firetrucks, trains, work trucks, tractors, sports, etc. They can be personalized with a name, a birth date or anything else you'd like....and personalization is FREE! Check out the one I did several months ago for Connor Williams' first birthday!

We have them for girls too...but those were in another shipment and are already on display! Ballet, princess, flowers, etc.

And LOOK! These are the new piggy banks that I am so excited about for the smallest of sports fans! They look like fancy sports trophies (at least they do to me, the non-sports fan) and they have four (or more) available spaces for personalization. This is one I did for the new baby in our family, Joncollin Womack.

Myself Belts

One of the great product lines that we picked up at Market this time is the Myself Belts. These belts are kid friendly in that they hook with Velcro to make it easier for kids to dress themselves (and they really come in handy, apparently, around potty-training time!). They've been featured in First Magazine, Parent Magazine and USA Weekend, just to name a few and have won aaaall sorts of awards! We have cute designs for boys and girls, and depending on how well y'all like them...we can get a lot more cute designs. We are the only shop anywhere around to carry this great kids accessory and we're so excited to have them!

One of our SWEETEST little customers, miss Kora, turns 2 this weekend! She was wearing one of her GoodLad outfits from the shop today when we spotted her next door at Tan 4 U where her mommy works and I just had to take her picture! She is just so cute...every time she sees me or mom anywhere, not just at the shop, she says, "You got toys for me?" She's so funny because she will talk and talk and talk and then giggle...we don't always know what she's saying...but it makes us giggle too! She also talks with her hands, which is so funny to see in a kid so small!

Kora LOVES her Crocs...she was wearing them today too!

Wedgits

We did so well last Christmas with these Wedgits blocks...so this year we have really expanded our selection! Come in and check out all of the new sets that we got in this week!

You would not believe how great these blocks are. This is the greatest gift because there are some larger more costly sets, but there are some smaller less expensive sets too.

There is a soft and squishy version for babies and then when they are toddlers there is a harder version for them, but the soft ones can still go back with the hard ones since they are the same shapes.

Everyone from the babies to the parents love these because they really encourage creativity...they make a whole lot more than just that simple pyramid, you know! Come in and check these out while supplies last.
