Rain rain

I don't complain about the rain as it's pretty much the only time that my plants get watered and my car gets washed!

It isn't the most convenient thing on days like today when I had on a white button up shirt, dress pants, flats and no umbrella....but I didn't melt so it's all good!

A rainy day couldn't be more fun, though, when you spend the afternoon with a good friend and you are both wearing jeans and colorful rainboots...and you do your best NOT to avoid the puddles...like time I spent with my friend Shellie at the fair last week!

Check out this new jewelry that I LOVE! Apparently everyone else does too because we've only had them for a few days and we've ran out of some letters...time for a reorder!

These peace sign charms are a little smaller than the monogram tile pendants...and so bright and fun!

And just in time for football season...orange, red, blue and the classic brown footballs! These look great with spacer beads in coordinating team colors.

Speaking of football... Everyone needs to come out to Nunley Stadium tonight for the WCHS Homecoming! Tailgating starts at 5pm and the game starts at 7pm. Come help cheer on our Pioneers as they face the Coffee County Red Raiders in the third game of the season!

New New New!

It's almost fall. I'm not a super huge fan of cold weather...but that slight crispiness in the air paired with the still BEAUTIFUL sunshine-y days...I can't help but think of, and look forward to, the fair! With that cool and crisp weather in mind...the new fall Crocs are starting to roll in...

and first up are camouflage Mammoths and the brand new kids' pink and brown Polar Blitzens!

Back to School

Yup. Today is the first full day back to school for kids here in Warren County.

...my thoughts exactly.

I don't even have to go back and I'm kind of sad about today. I feel your pain kids! Don't get me wrong...school is great. I had some wonderful teachers who really touched my life, I actually kind of liked having a schedule to adhere to, I learned many things that help me now in my career every day,I made some of my dearest friends there and I actually really liked school chicken strips and baked beans...but, thus far, I'm a much bigger fan of the "real world"...at least now I get a paycheck to get up so early in the morning!

School is a must to teach us some of the things we will need to know to go out into the "real world". Without the schooling I received, I would not have been given many of the opportunities that got me where I am today.

So, to all of the kids: Have a great first day! Have fun! Don't eat the paste. Make sure you have a sharpened pencil and take lots of notes. Make new friends. Respect your teacher and your classmates. And just keep in mind...Christmas break is only a little over 3 months away!

Also remember, we have all the back-to-school supplies that you need. Inevitably, you will realize you've missed getting something on your list...you need more folders, pencils, paper...you've decided, after seeing what the school calls "pizza", that you might want to carry your lunch...your backpack isn't big enough for all of those textbooks...etc. etc. etc. We've got you covered. Come see us and we'll get you everything you need!

More Market Baskets

Here are the pictures that I promised of some of the newest market basket designs...

The zip-on tops are something that set our market baskets apart from others I've seen. I usually toss my car keys, wallet and coupons into my basket when shopping at grocery store...so the top makes me feel like they're just a little more protected and not out for everyone to see.

These bags also have a nifty little pocket on the side that is perfect for a bonus card, cash, a little bottle of hand sanitizer, etc. I think it's a nice little touch.

And have I mentioned that they're only $29.99? We can't keep them on the shelves!

The same company also makes these great roll-y bags. Once again, completely collapsible & washable. We're already sold out of the most recent shipment of these...but more are on their way! These will make great carry-on bags and I can think of a lot of other uses.

Finally, one other bag by this company. It's just a simple carry-all tote bag...but sooo cute! I think this would be the perfect gift for a college student. Especially those that come home on weekends...they'll be able to bring home just what they need and not have to worry with a big suitcase or, like me when I was in school, a laundry basket!
