With less than 2 weeks until Christmas I've noticed that there are still a lot of people hunting for "the perfect Christmas gift" for that special someone on their list. So I've decided that from now until the 24th that I'm going to post at least one gift idea every day. Hopefully these ideas will inspire those of you who are having "shoppers block" and will jumpstart your holiday shopping!

These blocks are so cool! They aren't your typical building blocks...and I'm not saying anything against Legos...but aren't we ready for a different kind of building block?
There is a special set for 1 year olds (they're soft and squishy and won't hurt if baby falls on them or if they get thrown at you or at Fido!) and then they have the sets for 2 years and up - and they interchange just fine with the squishy versions (the box says "for ages 2 to 102" ...sorry you 103 year olds are just out of luck...these blocks are not for you! Gift Idea #9 is Paper Dolls
Do you remember playing with paper dolls? I do! Before the days of The Sims and "instant makeover" games and websites, we had paper dolls. It was easier to change their clothes than Barbies or baby dolls and you could have almost any themed paper doll that you wanted. I know that I had Sleeping Beauty ones and Little Red Riding Hood ones and I think even some Scarlett O'Hara ones at one point. They were so cool!
Now don't you want your little one to have that same simple fun? Creativity runs wild when kids are left to their own devices without toys that do all the work for them!
The great thing about these paper dolls is that we have them for boys and girls! The boy one is a macho cowboy paper doll...so cute!
I just think that paper dolls might be a fun and interesting change from the usual "plugged in" life that the kids are so use to now! Plus retro stuff is so in style right now ... and, hey, you might find yourself sitting down to play with these too!

Finally, stuffed animals are always a great go-to gift! And like I've said before, we don't just go for the same old same old stuffed animals. Yeah, we have the teddy bears, lambs and puppies....but we also have the goats, rams, dinosaurs, wooly mammoths, penguins, iguanas, polar bears, baby seals, frogs, kangaroos, giraffes, elephants, donkies, crocodiles....lol...you get the picture! From Hello Kitty to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo animals and from groovy pets to lovies for babies...we have a stuffed animal for everyone.

I had to show you this one! Here is one of those darn teddy bears that I talked about earlier...only this one comes with a coat to match! I think this coat is so funny that it's cute and the babies that I've seen in it have been sooo adorable! I could see this as being a perfect "prop" for a 1 year photo...or maybe a Christmas photo....but really it would just be a great, fun coat for baby! And it's so cozy and warm!
