No Tricks Just Treats!

All day tomorrow and Saturday we'll be offering special "treats" to all of our customers!
When you get to the register to check out, you'll get the opportunity to choose your treat...it could be a discount or it could be a free gift...you'll know when you unwrap it...there isn't a bad "treat" in the bunch! How lucky are you?
Wear your Halloween costume into the shop tomorrow and we'll treat you even more! We love to see everyone's great costumes every year! Just remember, I get a little freaked out when I can't see your face (like with masks)!

Bead Crazy

These new bracelets are already selling like crazy! They're going to be great for inexpensive school, team or Sunday school gifts...and they'll also make great stocking stuffers. Really, they're just great for any occasion...and the wooden polka-dot beads are oh so pretty and trendy! Come on in and grab a few while they're still in stock!

Rainy Day

Friday's rain was a very welcome change of pace. I didn't get to post about it on that day, but I took this picture and thought it was kind of pretty and was so glad for the rainy day, so I thought I'd share. The wind knocked over our fall display and the rain soaked it through...but we didn't mind! It wasn't just misty, hardly noticeable rain, it was a full-on, soak-through-your-clothes, raincoat-required shower and I smiled the entire day. We needed it...now if only we can get a few more days like that!

More Necklines

I've restocked the Necklines yet again! In addition to more letters I also got in more charms.
A neckline for any of you Vols fans that are left out there...lol...Go UT!
This one is one of my favorites!

New Pumpkins...these have been going great for Fall! Click here to see it on! I got in more on orange cords and some on black cords.
More horse-themed Necklines with some new cord colors!

Crosses are always a popular style. I ordered some of them with different cord colors.

Necklines are always popular for our dancers and cheerleaders! Christmas is right around the corner and these make great, inexpensive gifts...keep that in mind!

Hooray! New Camera!

My brother came home today and brought with him a brand new camera to replace my dead one! It's very similar to my old one...but with a bigger screen, a better zoom and a few other features that are suppose to make a big difference. I'm excited about this one and, even though I don't recall doing anything to kill the other camera, you can bet I'm going to be very very careful with this one...it probably won't leave my neck for the most part.
Thanks to my brother for picking up and bringing the camera to me and thanks to my dad for researching and finding a camera for a good price that would do the job of replacing my old camera! What would I do without my guys?
Yay! What this means for the blog is that I'll be back to taking pictures and posting (maybe) on a more regular basis!

Here we go a-wassailing...

With the holidays right around the corner; it's time to start making up batches of wassail to share with friends and family. The wassail is in stock now and soon mom will be making up some for everyone to sample when y'all come to the shop!
These make great hostess gifts for parties and it's great to have cooking on the stove when you have company over (it makes the whole house smell good!)...

Crocs

I've gotten the word back from customers who have been wearing their Juneaus and all the reviews are positive. They seem to run just a little wide...but that hasn't bothered most customers; with Crocs, the best way to find out if they fit is to come in and try them on. I finally decided to take off my Alices (you know how I love them) and wear a pair of Juneaus today and I really loved them! They feel kind of springy when you walk and they have a bit of a heel to them so they make me feel just a bit taller and I like that. Come in and try a pair on...we have them in silver, brown, navy and black.

I also got a few more of the children's mammoths in so, if we were out of the color you needed a few weeks ago, we just might have it now.

Coming for Spring

I'm so excited about the new clothes for boys and girls that we ordered at Market on Sunday!
The clothes we ordered are bright and colorful, some are sparkly and some are very classic...and while they all look like a million dollars, they don't cost it! They are all very reasonably priced and they should fit everyone's budget for spring.
I can't wait for you to see them all when they start arriving at the first of the year!

Oh Yuck!

The title of this book says it all! It's an encyclopedia of everything gross and yucky...everything that kids (and many adults?) really would like to know more about. We ordered it because of a suggestion from Tonya Scott and I think it's going to make a really great Christmas gift for the boys of all ages on your Christmas list...and probably a lot of girls too! Come check it out and gross yourself out!
I will warn you though: When I was younger, in a book like this I read about how when you flush the toilet, little particles of everything that is in the toilet (all the germs) fly out and get on everything in the bathroom (toothbrushes, towels, doorknobs, etc.). Ever since then I have been really paranoid about toilets and, since the book recommended it, I am obsessive about closing the lid on the toilet! I avoid public restrooms for the most part because they don't have lids.

Nadia Boots by Crocs

The Nadias are here! These are Crocs' latest release and they look very similar to the "Ugg" boot but they're way more comfortable. They make me want to start wearing skirts and tights again! This is the newest style of Crocs using the fleece lining...remember how popular the Mammoth was last year? I'm expecting these to be just as popular!
Brittany Grissom has already called dibs on at least three of the colors in her size...and she really did look super-cute in them!

These are not just cute but they're really functional. They're made for rain, snow and cold weather in general and they are easy to clean, like all Crocs.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Yes, it's here...it's taken me almost a month to accept it but the leaves and the cool mornings have forced me to it....it's fall. I'm not a huge fan of either of the cold-weather months...but it is kind of nice right now when the days are still warm but it looks like fall outside.

The ladies at Merle Norman and Shear Elegance have been talking with mom and they decided to join forces and put together a fall display in Jennifer's little courtyard in front of Merle Norman. I offered to decorate the pumpkins, and, because I am not too steady with a carving knife, I painted them. I think the whole display is turning out pretty cute...and apparently more work will be done as the week goes on...so I'll be posting more pictures when we're completely finished!

"Spread the Love" Award

Danielle Sliger gave me this "Spread the Love" Award. She's such a sweet lady, wonderful mommy, dedicated educator and passionate volunteer... and said such nice things about me to go along with this award! Thanks Danielle!

I have been so blessed recently, so this is the perfect time to be able to "spread the love" as the award says!

  • In June my wonderful boyfriend proposed and became my wonderful fiance
  • Then, a few weeks ago I got hired at River Park Hospital to work in the Marketing Department there doing stuff that I would probably do for free (don't tell my bosses that, though!) and started getting paid for the internship that I'm already doing there
  • I am set to graduate on December 13th and to begin working full time at the hospital the following week
  • Sometime in January or February I hope to have a house to move into (c'mon honey...January or February!)
  • And then in March I will become Mrs. Wright...a very nice series of events!

On top of all of that, everything at the shop is really great! We've had the opportunity to bring in several new lines recently that we're super-excited to share with all of you. We also have the best customers that any business could ask for...lots of loyal customers who visit us often and who we consider part of the family but also lots of new customers who we hope will come back often and will become part of the family! We've been told time and time again that we offer some of the best customer service around and have even been honored with the "Best of the Best" award for many years now! We're so grateful to our wonderful customers for keeping us around for all these years...we'll gladly give y'all 21 more years if you keep coming in!

Once again, I feel so blessed. God really is SO GOOD!

So, you see, I can't keep all of the happy to myself. That being said, if you read this post and feel like you have reason to "spread the love" consider yourself tagged!

I don't have a long list of local links (nice alliteration!) and some of my links have already been nominated for this...so I don't want to keep nominating the same people over and over (even though it's for a good reason!). I'd love to read your "spread the love" stories...please comment if you accept this award!
